![We recently provided the Audio backbone of @massiveattackofficial Act 1.5 Climate Action Accelerator at Clifton Down, Bristol. The culmination of 25 years of climate activism on the part of the band, and a first physical fruition of their collaboration with climate scientists and analysts. The all-day show trialled new standards for the decarbonisation of live music with Massive Attack returning to their hometown for their first live show in Bristol for 5 years.
@daniel_leaver94, System Tech for Southby comments: “…the site came with some challenges; the outdoor venue is located near a built-up residential area. To reduce the low end from impeaching offsite noise levels; we opted for an asymmetrical delay time on the SL SUB array. Steering the low end away from the residents but not impacting the audience and the FOH engineer's experience. This was the first major event running a large @dbaudiotechnik_gmbh system from a battery instead of the conventional fossil fuel generator. This setup proved to be a great success, with no effect on power draw and still allowing the system to run without any issues. The system overall and the show were a great success and exceeded expectations across all the stakeholders.”
Henry Cook [@bnsbts], Senior Project Manager said: The site is used for another Festival the week after, so the crowd area was, in reality, far bigger than initially intended for this particular stage.
